We discuss the differences between Barolo and Barbaresco, focusing on flavours and ageing requirements. Learn all about the different soils, villages and crus of Barolo. We discuss the grape variety itself and why it's so fussy to grow – in fact, we get quite geeky this episode. There is a discussion on Modern V Traditional Barolo, the best vintages and great food pairings. You can learn about some of the top wineries such as Gaja, Guiseppe Rinaldi and Elio Altare.
